He says that of the seedlings raised from the black-fruiting bush, the ones that are mature enough to fruit have produced normal orange fruit. There may be more news to come, of the seedlings, but at present it looks as though the only way to have a black-fruiting one is to get a cutting-grown one.
TrishPatricia Gardnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04892273329190235852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2171765088403710716.post-18291750784726126842013-01-10T18:39:47.596-08:002013-01-10T18:39:47.596-08:00Hi Gabby.

He was going to plant seeds to see if it will come true. I'll ask him whether they came up, but it could be some years to wait for a result.
Cheers,
TrishPatricia Gardnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04892273329190235852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2171765088403710716.post-89542616438584307422013-01-05T22:23:04.811-08:002013-01-05T22:23:04.811-08:00never heard of a black one. maybe the red/orange f...never heard of a black one. maybe the red/orange fruit have just turned black with age. please post a photo.
GabbyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2171765088403710716.post-58261624011237716642009-07-06T23:38:15.119-07:002009-07-06T23:38:15.119-07:00Black. I wonder if they grow faster for you than they do for us up here, where they're dreadfully slow.
The chainfruit flowers are so good this year that I'll have to post a few more photos in July, I think.
TrishPatricia Gardnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04892273329190235852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2171765088403710716.post-35416693005937163502009-06-27T15:44:14.177-07:002009-06-27T15:44:14.177-07:00Hello Trish
